The Task Manager is a built-in application designed to export data, conditionally initiate scripts, and application functions. Each script or function is defined as a task. Multiple tasks can be collected into a single parent called a task job.
Multiple tasks under a single task job can run using user-defined conditions; for example, the Task Manager allows you to restrict the run of subsequent tasks, based on the outcome of previous tasks. This conditional and sequential running of tasks allows you to stop the execution of the entire task job to prevent undesirable effects.
The Task Manager is also fully automated. Once the Run as user and tasks have been defined, the task job can be set to run on a schedule defined by you. This schedule can be a recurring time frame, such as every Friday at 7:00 PM, or set for a one-time occurrence such as Friday, April 6, 2018.
