Configure a Task Type

This task requires System Access to the Task Manager in Setup > System.

To configure a task type:

  1. Go to: System > Task Manager
  2. Click Add
  3. In Name, label your job. Use the description area to enter additional information if needed.
  4. Configure the remaining and default settings as desired.
  5. Click the Task tab to create a task.
  6. In Name, label your task.
  7. In Task Type, select the desired task type.
  8. Fields relevant to the selected task type display. Required fields are prefaced with an asterisk. Configure the settings as needed. See the Online Help for specific task type configuration examples in SETUP > System > Task Manager >Common Task Type Setup Examples.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Optional - click the Schedules tab to create a schedule. See Task Manager Schedule Example topic for additional information.
