Roster 08 Export Transform File Using Template (.ftl)

Create a new folder under the classes folder of the installation files, and label the new folder templates. The default location is: C:\Program Files\<application name>\application\WEB-INF\classes
Requires access to Setup > System > Task Manager. Additionally, for testing purposes be sure the Roster contains recent record modifications. If you are not sure, go to the Roster and make a quick change to run a test; for example, give a person a Sick code before you run this task, review the output, locate the person with the sick code you added. Be sure to remove the sick code after your test.

The Roster 08 Export task type contains a template that automatically converts the dates to the initial agreed upon date format with Tritech. The application default date format is ISO XML compliant. To automatically convert the dates to the initial agreed upon vendor format use the Transform File Using Template (.ftl) in Task type Roster 08.

Task example noted below uses the Roster 08 Export task type:

Go to Setup > System > Task Manager to create a new task.
Click Add.
In General > Name, provide a meaningful name for this job.
In Task > enter a name for this task. Generally, the same name provided on the General tab is used.
In Task Type, select Roster 08 Export.
Set From and Through.
Configure the remaining fields as desired. No selections means all items selected and returned when applicable. Optional step for this task example.
Set Format.
In Transform File Using Template (.ftl) type: ros08-v2.ftl
Click Save.
Return to the Task Manager main page. Select this task to run the Roster 08 Export task. When selected, click Run. When completed check the templates folder for results.
The .ftl file is located in the templates folder. The default location is: C:\Program Files\<application name>\application\WEB-INF\classes
Open exported file in notepad++ or use a similar tool to view the output.
