Hide Unit and Position on Assignment

The Hide Unit and Position permission hides the name of the unit and the position of the assignment or staffing record in these areas of the application:1

It is important to understand areas within scope before implementing this feature. Authority permissions must be configured properly and thoroughly tested so that the visibility of units and positions are not disclosed through a different permission granted. For instance, suppose users are granted the ability to View Assignment, View Roster, or Reports Self Only. These permissions among others display the unit and the position, which means the user can see them when granted.

Below is a list of typical base user permissions to start, test, and progressively build upon when considering to implement the Hide Unit and Position feature:

The application allows administrators to hide Unit and Position assignment details. When granted, the name of the Region and the Station are shown instead of the Unit and the Position name.
