Field Name Rules ‘List Target’ Field Description
Name List Target description.
Suppress Assignment Changes the selected work code’s Suppress Assignment behavior as configured in Setup > Codes using Rules logic. This check box enables with a work code of type Regular Duty or Working. When checked, the Suppress Assignment Vacancy check box enables.

Use case: Using the same work code you can set List Target A for Group 1 people to not suppress the shift assignment, anduse List Target B for Group 2 people to suppress the shift assignment.

Suppress Assignment Vacancy Changes the selected work code’s Suppress Vacancy behavior as configured in Setup > Codes using Rules logic. This check box enables when Suppress Assignment is checked. Select this check box to automatically suppress the shift assignment vacancy on the Roster when applying a nonworking type work code to this work code. Use Case: Using the same work code you can set List Target A for Group 1 people to not suppress the vacancy, and List Target B for Group 2 people to suppress the vacancy.
Work Code Displays all work codes. The List that utilizes this List Target assigns the selected work code to the candidate when they are staffed.
Detail Optional twenty character field. If the work code requires a detail code when staffing, place the detail value in this field. Detail codes are used for Reporting and when required for exporting to Payroll.

Rules Rules are used to capture the minutest detail of your organization's staffing process. Rule usage type categories include: Qualified If, Unavailable If, and Sort Each category may have none, one, or more rules in it. If there are multiple rules within a List Target’s category, sort the rules with the highest numeric value at the bottom to lessen rule processing time. Important: The main purpose of a List Target is to qualify a specific group of candidates. The final filtering takes place in the List.
 
Note:

It is uncommon to use the Unavailable if and Sort categories found in a List Target; if you are considering using these categories please consult with a Kronos application expert to review your options.

Rule Behaviors Rules are used in List Targets and Lists in different ways and their behavior depends on how the rule is used.
Qualifying Limit This field is required when there are Rules with a Sort Usage Type in the List Target; otherwise, it is disabled. Sorts are not normally used in a List Target; however, if a sort were used, the maximum number of people returned by the List Target is indicated here. The sort order from a List Target does NOT carry through to the List.
  • Static Count: Enter a number in this field that indicates the maximum number of qualified candidates that are returned by this List Target.
  • Vacancy Count: Select an option that limits by the number of vacancies currently on the Roster for the target date.
Note:

The Qualifying Limit only applies to the sorted list of Qualified Candidates, regardless of their availability, so the number of Candidates returned may be less than this limit.
