About List Chain

List Chains contain one or more lists. A List Chain mimics the organization’s staffing process with each List in the chain representing a step in the process.

The List Chain identifies the order of steps in the staffing process. The List Plan determines the appropriate List Chain to activate based on the time of the vacancy or active conditions.

Think of List Chains as one giant block containing a series of steps. Each block exists because the steps taken in the staffing process may change as time shrinks or expands.

List Chain examples below:

  • List 1: Contact Signup Group
  • List 2: Contact Off-Duty Group
