Person Institution and Scheduled Into

The person Institution tab is visible when Institution Focus is enabled. This area contains the person’s home institution and scheduled into permissions.

When using institution focus, personnel must have a home institution assigned which represents the person’s primary location of work.

The Scheduled Into feature is used to control accessibility of other institutions. Scheduled Into is used to limit personnel access to the target institution. Security permission settings in Setup control access levels and system capabilities across scheduled into institutions.

For example:

A full access administrator who has Home Institution 1 plus Scheduled Into 1 and 2 granted will have full access inside of Institution 1 and 2.
A staffer who has the ability to edit records and has Home Institution 1 plus Scheduled Into 1 and 2 granted can edit records in Institution 1 and 2.
A staffer who has the ability to staff vacancies inside of their home institution of 1 plus Schedule Into 1 and 2 granted can staff vacancies inside of Institution 1 and 2.
A person who has Home Institution 1 plus Scheduled Into 1, 2, 3, 5 could work in Institution 1, 2, 3, and 5 - only. This means the person would not qualify in any other institutions than those granted in Scheduled Into and they must meet the position’s qualification criteria. The Rules control who, when and in what order certain personnel qualify.

The Scheduled Into feature allows organizations to control the areas people can access. Particularly, Full Access users who may have the permission to override the focus institution in their system authority. Using scheduled into, a full access user can only override and navigate to institutions granted in Scheduled Into. Additionally, ‘focus filters’ may be used to further limit the list of items presented in Setup.
