Person Assignment Tab

The Assignment tab identifies when and where the user can work. This area contains the user’s shift assignment because it contains their shift and location of work.

This application schedules personnel and builds the Roster using the active shift assignment for the target date. Multiple assignments can exist with no overlapping shifts, or no overlapping start or end dates.

Security permission settings in Setup control the ability to edit or create new assignments.

Dimensions Integration: The Assignment tab is not automatically populated through the integration. Assignment information requires manual input in this application and must complement the primary job in Dimensions and map to the Business Structure. As such, it is very important that employee's shift assignment in this application complements their Dimensions Primary Job or addressed in their Adjustment Rules.

For example, suppose that Dan’s primary job is part-time and his Adjustment Rules references a cashier position. This means that part-time is the job (rank), and cashier is the assignment position in this application.
