Add Extra Duty Event Positions

Add position options are:
  • Add New Position (EDE Managed Positions)
  • Add Unit Position (EDE Unmanaged Positions)

Add New position

Add New Position is an EDE feature that allows you to add any position (job) to the EDE Unit:

  1. Locate and open the Unit tab of the desired event.
  2. Locate the Unit, and click Add New Position.
  3. Select a Rank (Job).
  4. Optional - Change the name of the position in Overriding Name.
  5. Optional - change the start time of the position using Offsets or Time.
  6. Optional - change the end time of the position using Offsets or Time.
  7. Enter the number of positions desired in Quantity.
  8. Configure the remaining fields as desired.
  9. Optional - select Add Another to add another position
  10. Click Save.

Add Unit Position

The Add Unit Position function appears when the EDE Unit selected contains positions predefined in Setup > Organizations. The only available options are positions defined in the Unit in Setup.

To add a unit position:

  1. Locate and open the Unit tab of the desired event.
  2. Locate the Unit, and click Add Unit Position.
  3. Select a Rank (Job).
  4. Configure the remaining fields as desired.
  5. Click Save.
