Extra Duty Event Notifications

To utilize Notification Group functionality along with Extra Duty Events the Notification Group module must be enabled and configured to send notifications. The Contact Methods for Extra Duty Events section must be defined on the Notification Groups screen in Setup, and a Notification Group must be applied in the event’s Detail tab.

Additionally, employees must have contact methods defined and a Notification Group assigned in the application.

The application sends a notification to all members of a notification group when the following changes are made to the event:
Notification Message Event Change...
Event Position Now Vacant The Extra Duty Event position is vacated as a result of an exception, such as Sick, Jury Duty, PTO... The notification group is notified.
New Event Vacancy Position Created The Extra Duty Event position’s shift duration was extended. The notification group is notified.
Your Event Position Was Removed The Extra Duty Event position was scheduled, and then the position is removed. The person is notified.
