Before starting the bid process it is very
important to understand a few Auction concepts. Review the following
topics prior to starting this task:
- Bidding Methods,
Queue vs. Preference
- Bidding Phases - Bid, Win, Award
- Bidding Dashboard
- About Queue Auctions and Bid Times
To place bids for the applicable Auction:
- Access the Bidding area, and click the Auction
that shows Bid Now to display currently available auction
items.
- Click Bid to select the desired auction item or
items. The Bid button disables when the maximum allowable bids are
met.
- Review your bids. Click Save.
Depending upon your Auction configuration, the following
may occur upon clicking the Save button:
- Dynamic
Issues - If any issues are present the system will display the issues
and may prevent you from saving your selections. Review the dynamic
issues, make bid changes if needed, and click Save.
- Record Winners- in a Queue type Auction, the system
will immediately process the win and record winning items for the
bidder upon clicking the Save button. The auction items you selected
will show next to the items you have won. Either a lock inside an
orange button or the word Win shows. The lock indicates a non-retractable
bid. The word ‘Win’ indicates the bid is retractable.

- Award Auction Items - The Auction may award the auction
items after processing the winners if configured to do so, otherwise
you will need to wait for the award phase to occur to secure these
items.
