A Shift Edit or similar work code is
required to complete this task. Terminology in reference to shift
edit include Shift Adjust, Schedule Adjust, Assignment Move.
Simply put, Shift Edit is a non-working type work code with But
Still Available selected and used to account for scheduled time
that won’t be filled.
To schedule
on-duty personnel on the Roster into job vacancies where the shift
start and end times are different:
- Select both the vacancy and the person who will
be staffing that vacancy.
- Click on either the person or the vacancy to enable the Switch feature.
- Click Switch.
- Select Move... in Mode.
- Review move to and move from positions
and change the work codes if needed. Be sure the work codes reflect
the change in positions. In this scenario, Shift Edit may be selected
to remove Mark Black from the entire shift starting at 6:30 a.m.,
or Add the Shift Edit work code after the switch.
All working type work codes display in the work code menu
box. Only non-working codes that are configured with the work code
property But Still Available set are selectable in the work
code menu box. Moreover, if the work code contains an Account
Code you will need to edit that work code after the Switch to
reset the account code if the account code is desired. To reset
the account code, edit > select another code in the menu box then
return to the desired work code then click Save, or type
the account code in the field and click Save.

- Click OK to complete the move.
