Configure Basic Work Codes

Review Work Code concepts and reference topics.

To edit or create a work code in Codes section of the Setup area:

  1. Select a work code and click Edit; or click Add to create a work code.
  2. Name and enter an abbreviation for the work code.
  3. Select a color.
  4. Configure the General section:
    The table below shows typical Properties for each Type of work code. Additional or less settings may be required to produce the desired output. The system automatically populates default properties settings upon selecting a Type. (X = Selection):

  5. Configure the Issues section, if applicable to this code.
  6. Configure the Logging section, if applicable to this code.
  7. Configure the Authority section.
  8. Click Save.
